Alert Node

Some traders (like myself) only generate a couple of signals in a day. The signal may be as brief as 1 Tick at the top or bottom of a bar. It is hard to keep focus for an hour or two between trades and then to have maybe, a couple of seconds to put everything into context before deciding whether to enter the trade or not. When I write a strategy in NinjaScript, I always have a "Heads Up" area that is designated by a plot (eg. draw arrow or change background color) or and audible alert or both. An example would be in a trending market, you determine that a possible pullback has begun. This gives me time to focus my attention. Especially if you monitor multiple markets.

So, a node with an option for audible or plot outputs or both, that could be toggled at certain points in the logic template would be very beneficial.

Yes, I agree !.. An alert node (including various types of sounds, and, with a time delay option controlled by the user) would be VERY useful for everybody. I imagine this node to be able to connect to any other node (of user's interest), meaning not only after the "Result" node, but even BEFORE, at any stage of the logic diagram

Agreed - I was just about to create a Support ticket to inquire, but it appears there is no current option to generate an audible alert/sound for a corresponding Bloodhound signal?  The additional comments by Randy and George above are relevant as well.

Something that could send an email or a txt message to your mobile phone would be great. I would sleep better at night knowing that I could set a special ringer for my phone just for txt messages from my platform alerting me that my equity has dropped 10% because my strategy went haywire or the market went haywire or that for some reason, my stop loss got ignored.

Is there any way to create a workaround for this?

The October 2014 update to BloodHound includes a few settings you may find useful.  Take a look at the BloodHound Overview page which describes [Send Email] and [Play Alert].  Read the notes in Send Email which tells you how to get it working in NT (and be sure to test that they are getting to your inbox or spam folder).

Hopefully these new settings this will help.
